DESCRIPTION

A set of eight porcelain coasters designed by Piero Fornasetti. The design is named "Musicalia". The coasters are white porcelain with a gilt gold background outlined in black depicting musical instruments. They were an exclusive design for retailer Bonwit Teller, probably dating from the 1960's. The coasters are 4 inches in diameter and 1/2 inches tall. All coasters are fully marked on the back.

CONDITION

Six of the coasters have very little wear, a seventh coaster has some wear to the black outlines, an eighth coaster moderate gilt loss. All the coasters have some factory roughness around the edges and some black paint and gilt specks under coasters.

SHIPPING

The coasters will be carefully packed using bubble wrap and a rigid cardboard box.  The carrier will be Federal Express Ground for businesses or Federal Express Home Delivery, the piece will be insured for the sales price, a Federal Express tracking number will be emailed to the buyer on the day of shipment, which is usually within two business days after purchase, and the package will have to be signed for upon arrival.
