Rare Charles and Ray Eames demountable doweled legged DTW-50 coffee table which was a later variation based on the DTM-2 card table with folding legs. The DTM-2 was designed in 1946 and offered until 1964. The DTW-50 first appeared in the Los Angeles Herman Miller Showroom in 1950 and the Herman Miller catalog in 1952. Walnut plywood top and black birch legs. 34 inches square and 15 1/2 inches tall.
The table is in good vintage condition, there are some finish losses on the top, moderate number of scratches, some deep, finish losses on the top, a few veneer chips top and bottom and there are scuff marks on the bottom of the legs with some black paint loss. The table has its original finish and is in original condition, it will be left up to the buyer to use “as is” or to restore.
Because of the size of the table, the table will have to be shipped via a white glove carrier of the buyers choice, the table can also be held for pickup by the buyer.
