Stilnovo "Alfiere" Ceiling / Wall Fixture

Stilnovo "Alfiere" Ceiling / Wall Fixture

400.00

DESCRIPTION

A rare sconce or ceiling fixture from the Italian lighting manufacturer Stilnovo. The fixture is made in Italy and called the “Alfiere”.  I found the desk top model in the 1985 book, THE LIGHTING BOOK, by Deyan Sudjic, the lamp is called: 67533.  I'm not sure who designed the lamp, but the designer may be Gae Aulenti.  The lamp is very much in the Memphis / Post Modern style and very well made.  The lamp has two foil lables, one inside the shade and the other inside the body of the lamp. On the back of the wall plate is written: PDM, 86 and Lindsey. The wall plate is 5 inches wide, the wall plate / stem protrude 8 inches from the wall and the shade at its widest is 9 1/2 inches wide.  Please note photographs carefully as they are part of the description and condition of the lamp.

CONDITION

The lamp is in very good vintage condition.  Some paint loss and scratches through out.
